Google data accessed

With the account owner's authorization, the application can access account identity information and data in Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar. This can include messages and attachments, file contents and metadata, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, calendars, and events. Access is limited by the permissions granted by Google and the account's existing access to each resource.

How data is used

Data is used to carry out work requested by the owner, such as searching, summarizing, drafting, creating, editing, organizing, and managing Google Workspace items. The personal application does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

Local tools and selected AI providers

The command-line tool runs on the owner's laptop. Saved user authorization is encrypted by gws in its local configuration; OAuth client configuration is also stored locally. The owner can permit agents to use this authorization to perform requested work.

Relevant Google data may be sent to AI services or other tools the owner chooses when needed for that work. Their handling and retention of submitted data depend on the selected provider, account settings, and applicable policies. This setup does not guarantee that all Google data remains on the laptop. Sharing or sending Google content to another person occurs only as part of work authorized by the owner.

Retention and revocation

Local authorization is retained until removed or invalidated. The owner can revoke access through Google Account connections and remove gws's saved local authorization by running gws auth logout. Files or output saved separately on the laptop, in Google Workspace, or in an agent provider's history are not automatically deleted by signing out; they are managed through the relevant application or provider.

This website

This is a static information website. It contains no sign-in form, OAuth callback, custom analytics, or advertising scripts, and it does not collect Google credentials or Google Workspace content. Cloudflare hosts the website and may process ordinary web-request information, such as IP addresses, for delivery and security under its privacy policy.
